Okay Beasties, so we are  5 Whole days into our Nutritional challenge here are a couple short and sweet tips to help wrap our brains around living Paleo.

1) Remember WHY you eat. We are not supposed to eat because “it tastes sooooo good”…That’s why America is fat, Americans eat for taste and not for fuel. So when you are thinking about those Oreo’s, that Lasagna, or Dinner Roll…remember taste is not why to eat it. Avoid it, ignore its call to your taste buds, there is no health benefit, and more often than not, when there is no health benefit….it will simply make you fat.

2) Don’t get all fancy and sciencey with this right now. For now worry about the big things like GRAINS and DAIRY. No to both, simple. Don’t sweat the sauces and little ingredients until you have the will power to say no to Grains every time.

3) Work on that Coffee! Enough with the excuses…drink it black. Yes Black, because that “little bit” of cream and sugar is a “LOT a BIT” come the end of the week. The little bits add up each day to a lot.

Recap: Just worry about Grains and Dairy first, master that. Remember humans are not supposed to eat for taste, we eat for fuel. The simplest change we can make is in our coffee. Water strained through rich dark coffee beans is a beautiful thing…adding fluid from a Cows udder and adding sugar sure seems to make it much more gross when you look at it from a different lens.
