Being stagnant. Urgh, what a horrible thing, all this life around us and when we become “adults” we fall into routine. It’s weird how the average adult will tend to stop learning new things by way of activities and sports. Kids, houses, work, time, life just gets in the way. We’ve all been there, we see it in public all around us adults know what they know, do what they do and thats that. “Routine is the enemy” and luckily we have CrossFit. Luckily we found safety outside the comfort zone, CrossFit exposes us to so many different movements, sports and activities we feel as though everyday we’re at the gym we are learning something new and it never ends. This is our mountain that has no top, there’s is always more ahead. Maybe its a new mobility move, maybe it’s a new running technique, maybe it’s a new faster time or new heavier weight (and we learn about ourselves), the physical realm is endless and we a fortunate to be students within it, and fortunate CrossFit is our Professor…Routine is the enemy, keep climbing the mountain that has no top.

World-Class Fitness in 100 Words:

Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, C&J, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports. ~Coach Greg Glassman, CrossFit Founder and CEO (Courtesy of CrossFit Inc.)
