In the next week or so, we will be announcing a new speciality course concentrating on Strength & Power.  It will be headed up by Shawn Diprete – Professional BMX racer who, in his age group, is the guy to beat in these here United States.  Shawn has a lengthy background is strength/power training as this has been a big key to his success racing.  This course will cover lots of non-traditional means of eliciting strength and power including but not limited to the use bands and chains for accommodating resistance, the GHD (glute ham developer), plyo boxes, along with a host of other methods proven to send your numbers soaring skywards.  This is for the athlete  looking to make fast gains in strength/power right in time for next season, or for the those of you looking counter a chink in your armor,  considering it is strength or power or both.   I will be posting a sign up link on the front page of our site shortly with dates, cost, and other details of this upcoming course.  If you are looking to get over that plateau or shatter your existing PR’s then this is the course for you!

Press 3-3-3

Push press 2-2-2

Push jerk 1-1-1

Rest exactly 60 seconds between each set

Notes: Warm up to your first working set of the Press for 3 reps.  From there continue to add weight throughout the remaining 8 sets finishing your last set of Push jerk's with the heaviest weight lifted.
Conditioning

In 12 minutes, get as far up the ladder as you can using the rep scheme 3-6-9-12-15-18, etc…performing the following:

Hand release push ups

Dead lift

Rx – 1.5x BW

Lv2 – 1.25x BW

Lv1 – BW
