It may have been in the 50s the past couple of days, but the chill is back in the air tonight, and snow is on the way. Here is a recipe to warm you up. Whip it up in the morning, switch your crock pot to the low setting, and 6 hours later your kitchen will smell like Christmas again.

Prep Time: 15 minutes Cook Time: 6 hours Serves: 4

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 pork chops.
  • 1 yellow onions
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 2 apples
  • 1 cup of cranberries
  • 1 Tablespoon of cinnamon, cumin, thyme, salt and pepper
  • ½ Tablespoon allspice, nutmeg +
  • couple small chunks of ginger + a few bay leaves

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Chop up your onion and smash your garlic cloves (you don’t even really need to peel the skin…it will just melt into the broth.) and make a bed on the bottom of the Crock Pot

  2. Mix Dry Ingredients…Spices and Herbs and dry rub your meat.

  3. Chop Up your Apples and get out your cranberries!

  4. Place your Chops and fruit in the crock pot on top of the veg.

  5. Cover the Pot, turn on low, and wait 6-8 hours (try not to stare…it makes it feel longer)

  6. come back and feast on some tasty pork chops.
