Let us Squat.

Today marks the beginning of our next strength cycle.  We will be doing the Smolov jr. squat cycle which will take place as part of our strength portion of the WOD on Monday, Wednesday and Friday for the next 4 weeks.  Hopefully you had a chance to establish your 1 rep max last week with us as we want to use the most recent numbers possible.

I am not going to lie, you are going to have to dig deep and reach for some of your inner strength to help you through this one!   If you give it your all, you can certainly expect to see some great gains in strength, not just in your squat, but across the board.  If nothing else, you will have got that much closer to mastering the most fundamental movement on earth – The Squat.

High bar back squat 6×6 @ 70% 1rm

Rest 2 minutes or more between sets

Conditioning

For time, complete the following:

40 kb swing

run 50m

30 kb swing

run 100m

20 kb swing

run 200m

10 kb swing

run 400m
