As with all the dietary challenges out there, the whole point is to create a lifestyle right? To embrace the feeling of a clear mind, more energy, more confidence, buy some new clothes and create a life long habit. Another big one is a greater awareness of what makes us lethargic, cranky, tired, slow…etc. Understanding WHY we feel that way. It’s not always “work”, “the kids”, “stress”…often it’s that shitty lunch you ate, the carb filled breakfast that got your day started off so bad. During these Challenges we need to increase our awareness to these factors. What is stress and what is the compounding of poor meal choices. Without Grains and sugars have you noticed you can deal with situations a little better? Do you wake up easier, look forward to doing physical things? You should….and it’s only been a few weeks! Think what it can be like after 6 months, 1 year! Keep going, your health does not stop needing proper care because this, or any Challenge ends.
