Despite the lockdown, the ocean is still there, the nicer weather is among us, and many of you will be making way out of the house and onto the sand, of course following any and all guidelines set forth by the government.

You may be wondering “Will your program at CrossFit Magnitude get me ready for beach season?”. To which I answer, “If there was a better program out there to get you beach ready, that would be the one I would be offering!”.

When I became a serious fitness enthusiast in 1996, my only concern was – are my arms and chest big enough to confidently parade down the beach shoreline.  Nothing else really mattered (I know, typical guy stuff!).

Many of the methods I implemented were specifically to reach this goal, and this goal only. 

Here’s the problem I faced though…My chest and arms got big, but my legs and lungs were too small and weak to carry me as far as I wished to go on that soft sand.  

Right then I knew there had to be a better way.

Fast forward 24 years.  After following a functional fitness program called CrossFit for about 12+ years now, and more specifically, the program offered at our facility CrossFit Magnitude, I am not only beach ready in the summer, I am beach ready when it’s snowing outside.  And…I can walk for miles and miles and miles in soft sand, without even elevating my heart rate.

Here are some of the key components of CrossFit Magnitude’s program that I feel are key to not only obtaining that ‘Beach Body’, but also being able to use it, wherever, and whenever you want!  Follow them, and you will see the results you so desire too;

    • Working out in the presence of others, you will give more of yourself.  Giving more usually always means getting more back!
    • Our program works you from head to toe, inside and out.  Simultaneously, you will be working your muscles, your mind, and your metabolic system.  This will lead to a balanced and proportional physique, with an engine to back it up!
    • Our top-notch coaching staff will ensure you remain safe while you train.  Training injuries are one of the biggest killers of gains in the gym.  When you are not consistent with your workouts, especially because you have been side lined by an injury, all progress will come to a screeching halt.
    • We place a big emphasis on nutrition!  When pursuing gains in lean muscle tissue, working out is only part of the equation.  Nutrition is equally as important.  CrossFit Magnitude offers nutrition coaching, nutrition challenges, and has state of the art equipment to help you track your body composition as you work towards your goals.

The program I follow today at CrossFit Magnitude, is the program I endorse and promote others to follow as well.  If it is not good enough for me, it certainly isn’t good enough for you!
