Ok, so heres the deal -over the last few months we have been open, I have been programming a few different ways in order to get a feel of what works and what doesn’t.  This is a natural phase any new business will usually go through when attempting a format untested before.  In this short time I have discovered many ups and downs to all of the approaches used thus far.  I am about to attempt, starting tomorrow, another new (to us) approach to programming that is used widespread throughout the entire CrossFit empire that has brought much success both to the Box owners and athletes alike. Heres how it is going to work.

There will be ONE workout of the day (WOD) that will be posted each day.  This workout will typically be  hard enough for the most advanced CrossFitter, while manageable enough for the newest newbie.  We will use three (3) levels for all future workouts.  Level 1 will do the workout as prescribed.  Level 2 & 3 will be a scaled down version of the WOD, level 3 being the easiest of them all.  If our level 3 still does not meet your ability level, just say so and we will be happy to make accommodations for you.

As a reminder to everyone – we highly recommend that you show up 5-15 minutes early to class to engage in some sort of mono-structural warmup – bike, run, jump rope, or row as this will help get you prepared for our warmup period that proceeds each and every class.  As we use specific warmups designed to meet the demands of every class, there is no option to opt out of this portion of the class.  If you have special stretches you would like to perform as part of your own warmup, please make the time to do so before class has started.  We try our hardest to start class on time everyday/night.

I believe that by incorporating one type of programming for all, this will give everyone the chance to improve and increase their level of fitness know matter where you currently are.  This will also allow more of a community bond to form as everyone will be on the same page to some degree.  I will be writing up our training/programming doctrine in the next few weeks to give you guys some idea as to where my mind is when it comes to programming all these crazy cool WOD’s you do on a day to day basis.

Here is Chris D crushing his previous Dead lift PR setting a new lifetime PR of 415.  Chris has been working tirelessly in an effort to make constant steady gains.  In my opinion, this weight is just a preview of where he is going to be in a short time coming!

Here is Tiffany and Kim, our two newest members flipping right into the mix on day one!

Tiffany and Kim

Elise has been so dedicated thus far and her new PR in the Press this week is just one great example of her showing it!
