I wasn’t always the guy running a CrossFit gym. In fact, as a teen, I was the skinny kid—the one who could vanish behind a lamppost if I turned sideways (sorry for forcing you to use your imagination, but it’s for the betterment of mankind. lol) . But I decided that wasn’t who I wanted to be forever. I wanted to be strong, capable, and confident in my own skin.
So, I hit the gym. I lifted weights, ate like it was my full-time job, and over time, I built the physique I had always dreamed of. Mission accomplished, right? Not quite.
More Than Just Looking Good
Once I had the muscle, I realized something: I didn’t just want to look fit—I wanted to actually be fit. I wanted to climb mountains, conquer obstacle courses, and take on any physical challenge life threw at me. The last thing I ever wanted was for my body to be a limiting factor in my adventures.
That’s when I found CrossFit.

CrossFit changed everything. It wasn’t just about lifting heavy—it was about functional fitness, being ready for anything, and pushing beyond limits. It taught me how to move efficiently, build real strength, and develop the endurance to tackle anything from hiking Mt. Whitney to lifting heavy on the gym floor.
And that’s when it hit me: If CrossFit could transform me from a skinny kid into someone who felt physically limitless, it could do the same for others.
